Privacy policy

Effective October 12, 2026. What FaceTruth collects, why it is used, how it is protected, and the choices available to people.

Effective 12 October 2026

Data we collect

FaceTruth processes Google or GitHub identifiers, verified email, profile details, tenant and team records, invitations, review text and video, captions, minimized verification evidence, consent and policy records, security and abuse signals, device/session data, support communications, and payment or payout operations. Provider passwords and OAuth tokens are not retained.

Purposes and legal bases

Data is used to provide accounts and reviews, verify relationships, prevent abuse, moderate disputes, process funded rewards, deliver notifications, comply with law, and improve the service. Depending on jurisdiction, processing relies on contract, legitimate interests, consent, and legal obligations.

Sharing

Data may be shared with the reviewed business as the workflow requires, infrastructure and email providers acting under contract, Google or GitHub during authentication, Stripe for business deposits, social platforms only when an authorized business requests publication, professional advisers, and authorities when legally required. FaceTruth does not sell personal information.

Optional measurement

If you allow analytics and conversion tracking, Google receives website measurement data to report traffic sources and completed business signups. Optional tags remain disabled until consent. See the cookie policy for controls and details.

Video storage and transfers

Videos and derived media are stored on FaceTruth-controlled site storage rather than a third-party object-storage service. Hosting, backup, authentication, email, payment, and social providers may process limited data in other regions subject to applicable safeguards.

Retention and security

Records are retained only as reasonably needed for the service, disputes, fraud prevention, payout and accounting obligations, legal claims, and backups. FaceTruth uses access controls, encryption for protected fields, audit logging, private media staging, validation, and least-privilege authorization; no system is completely secure.

Your choices and rights

People may manage optional analytics, update profile information, revoke sessions and media rights, request access or export, object or restrict where applicable, and request deletion subject to fraud, dispute, accounting, legal, moderation, and payout holds.

Children and contact

The service is not directed to children below the configured minimum age, and paid rewards require the applicable age attestation. Privacy requests may be sent to [email protected]. The operating entity, controller address, representative, and jurisdiction-specific disclosures must be completed before public launch.
